Extended Cookie Policy Notice

We use cookies to make our website easier and more intuitive. The data collected through cookies is used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and efficient in the future.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent by the site to the user’s device (usually the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the site upon the user’s next visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive, nor transmit viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some cookie functions may be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term ‘cookie’ refers both to actual cookies and to all similar technologies.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where “first-party” means cookies that bear the site’s domain, while “third-party” refers to cookies related to external domains.

Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external entity, always defined as a “third party,” not managed by the site. Such entities may also install first-party cookies by saving their cookies on the site’s domain.

Another type of cookie is the so-called “Flash Cookies” (Local Shared Objects), used within Adobe Flash Player to deliver some content, such as video clips or animations, to remember settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the device but managed through a different interface than that provided by the browser used.

Nature of cookies

Regarding the nature of cookies, there are different types:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used solely for the purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service” (cf. art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).

They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the site owner or manager. They can be subdivided into:

Navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal browsing and use of the website (allowing, for example, making a purchase or logging in to access reserved areas); these are effectively necessary for the proper functioning of the site;

Analytics cookies, considered technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect aggregated information on the number of users and how they visit the site, to improve site performance;

Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) to improve the service provided. For the installation of such cookies, prior user consent is not required (more information in the Cookie Management section below).

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during web browsing.

User consent is required for the use of profiling cookies. According to the regulation (more information in the Cookie Management section below), the user can authorize or deny consent for the installation of cookies through the options provided in the “Cookie Management” section.

In the case of third-party cookies, the site has no direct control over individual cookies and cannot control them (it cannot install or delete them directly). You can, however, manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions provided below), or through the sites indicated in the “Cookie Management” section.

Users are therefore encouraged to check the third-party site indicated in the table below.
